Austin Rykbost, founder of Galactic Construction Services LLC, brings over 15 years of hands-on construction industry experience. Raised in a family of tradesmen, Austin began working on residential homes and roofing jobs through his grandfather's company. After serving six years in the military, he transitioned into commercial construction, where he quickly advanced to Superintendent roles for a general contractor managing the JOC (Job Order Contract) and later the MATOC (Multiple Award Task Order Contract) at Fort Jackson.
Throughout both roles, Austin not only supervised multimillion-dollar job sites but also served as SSHO (Site Safety and Health Officer) and Quality Control Manager (QCM). He holds an OSHA30 certification, a QCM certification through NAVFAC, multiple first aid certifications, CEPSCI (Certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector) through Clemson University, and his Commercial Electrical Inspector certification through ICC.
Following his government contracting experience, Austin continued in the private sector as a project coordinator for a sitework company and later became a project manager and estimator at an erosion control firm. Drawing on these diverse experiences, he founded Galactic Construction Services to offer dependable, professional construction and sitework solutions across South Carolina.
